We did a little research and found out that Spain has 101.397 bars, this means one for every 458 inhabitants. Quite a lot, right? Well, they consume 2.14 billion liter of beer each year! How the beer prices are calculated
The prices are calculated through a survey in 103 bars of the main squares in each of the 50 provincial capitals and 2 autonomous cities. The average cost of a beer in Spain is €1.87. Tapas, the little snacks they normally serve with a beer or another drink isn’t that normal anymore, only 58,5% of the bars offer tapas when you are consuming.
Beer prices in the supermarket
If you want to buy some beers to take them to the beach and you’re going to the supermarket.. well this is even cheaper! We made a list of 5 cities in Spain:
