Make Agua de Valencia easy and quick

Most cocktails are quite hard to make because of the endless ingredients and the cutting work. With Agua de Valencia this is not the case! This cocktails only consist of 4 ingredients and no cutting work (maybe a slice of orange for decoration). Agua de Valencia consist of the follow ingredients:

• Fresh orange juice
• Cava
• Gin
• Vodka

To make the cocktail so delicious as possible, it is best to use fresh orange juice. It could also be nice to add sugar to the Agua de Valencia, but this is not necessarily important. If you are on a leash or not really a fan of sugar, you can leave it out!

Serving a Agua de Valencia

First of all, it is important that you have 500 ml of fresh orange juice. Do you still need to squeeze them? Do that first! If you bought it from the shop, you can put 500 ml in a measuring cup and pour it into a large can. Then as follows add 300 ml of cava. Then you need to add 100 ml gin plus 100 ml vodka. As you read, there are quite a few layers of alcohol in this drink but you don’t really taste that because of the orange juice. So watch out because this can be very treacherous!

If you want to add a bit of sugar to the Agua de Valencia, do this first! Even before the fresh juice. If not, the cava could froth.

The biggest seafood fair of Galicia comes to Valencia

Over 1,000 square meters, more than 60 tons of seafood, 10,000 bottles of Albariño (a delicious Spanish wine), and approximately 90,000 attendees. The numbers say it all. MarisGalicia is by far the biggest event of the Galician gastronomy in Spain. This great event starts tomorrow in Valencia for the sixth year in a row.

Until the 30th of the same month Valencian locals, tourists, and students can enjoy the best seafood and fish brought directly from Galicia. The local specialties can be tasted in an ideal enclave for the occasion: in front of port 4 of the port of Valencia.

This event, which toured throughout Spain every year, focuses on the promotion of gastronomy, tourism and culture in Galicia.

To soak up the real Galician culture you should try the queso de tetilla, empanada, pulpo a feira, or one of the other delicious dishes.

The seafood is transported every day fresh from Galicia in refrigerated trucks to guarantee the freshness of the fish. In addition, the venue will recreate the atmosphere of the Galician markets and each stand will be specialized in a specific product from the area. You can order them separately or choose for the 4 courses brunch consisting of, a special coffee or tea, aperitif, toast and dessert like chocolate cake or carrot cake. The portions are perfect if you would like to have a good brunch and all of this for only 9€.

Federal cafe

To find this restaurant, you should go to the El Carmen district, in the old centre of Valencia. It is a great place to have a coffee, breakfast or enjoy a good brunch in Valencia. The name of the restaurant “Federal” is actually the name of a small town on Binna Burra Rd. in Australia. All dishes are made with great care, the perfect place to take a break while discovering the city.

Bastard Coffee Kitchen

This industry styled restaurant is located in Carrer de Leandro de Saralegui, in the district where the students live. You cannot only have breakfast or brunch here, but also lunch or dinner. For a brunch, they have several menus around 10€ that consist of 2 or 3 courses. It’s really a place for the ones that also enjoy the looks of the restaurants, and believe me, you are going to love this style of this one.

Ruzafa (Russafa in Valencian) is a district in Valencia, south from the old town and starts at Plaza de toros. Would you like to have dinner in this area but don’t know where to go? We have made a little selection of some good restaurants Ruzafa for you:

PikNik

A student restaurant where you can eat a lot for a good price! It is a cozy restaurant with different kind of tapas on the menu. You can pick from the list or take the menu including open bar.

Copenhagen

With a modern interior and delicious vegetarian tapas, a nice hotspot for lunch or dinner. In the afternoon, they offer a 3-course menu and at night you can order a-la-carte. The tapas are vegetarian and sometimes even vegan. And all of them taste good!

La Conservera

For the ones who love fish. The interior is decorated with empty cans (like the name). They have many dishes made with fish which you can enjoy with a good glass of wine or beer.

A small restaurant (in Calle Cadiz) where you where you will see many Spaniards. You can order pinchos for 1 euro each. Enjoy all night eating and drinking.
